(1) | All classes of sorghum products mentioned in regulation 4 shall— |
(a) | be free from a mouldy, sour, rancid smell or taste; |
(b) | be free from wet and caked patches or lumps; |
(c) | have a moisture content not exceeding 15 percent; |
(d) | be free from foreign matter; |
(e) | be free from insects; and |
(f) | not exceed the permissible deviations regarding toxins, chemical or other substance that renders it unfit for human consumption as prescribed in terms of Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act No. 54 of 1972). |
(2) | Subject to the provisions of subregulation (1), all classes of sorghum products mentioned in regulation 4, shall also comply with the specifications for particle size or Granulation as set out in Table 2 of Regulation 11 and Table 3 of the Annexure. |
