11. Use of Geographical Indications (GIs)

(1) Containers and outer containers containing virgin olive oils may use names that are registered and in use in their country of origin as Geographical Indications (country , region or locality) and where such virgin olive oils have been produced, processed and packed exclusively in the country, region or locality mentioned.

 

(2)Imported olive oils presented for sale under a registered foreign GI may show any GI symbol(s) , designations and acronyms approved for use for such purpose by the competent authority in the country of origin concerned.
